I, Mr. Murugan (name changed), had a challenging past marked by a ganja habit, bad
influences, and involvement in criminal activities. I was placed in a special home for
three years for rehabilitation. During that time, I was an 8th-grade dropout, but I
completed my 12th grade while in the special home. My parents had separated, and I
was living with my mother, who was the sole breadwinner of our family. I struggled
with disobedience and poor behavior.
During my stay in the special home, the Kanaa Educational Trust played a crucial role
in my rehabilitation. They provided us with life skills training and counseling, which
were instrumental in guiding me towards a positive path. After my release from the
special home, Kanaa Educational Trust continued to support me by enrolling me in a
2-year ITI course. Thanks to their help, I successfully completed my studies and am
now working in a private company.
I am deeply indebted to the Kanaa Educational Trust. Without their guidance and
support throughout my studies, I might have fallen back into criminal activities,
especially since I live in the same area where I still encounter old criminal friends.
However, with the support of Kanaa, I have managed to stay strong and focused on
my future
